Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, commonly known as Farmaajo, is a Somali politician who served as the President of Somalia from February 2017 to May 2022. Born on March 15, 1962, in Mogadishu, he later moved to the United States, where he earned a degree in political science. Before his presidency, he held various positions, including Prime Minister of Somalia from 2010 to 2011.
During his presidency, Farmaajo focused on issues such as national security, economic development, and the fight against Al-Shabaab, a militant group in the region.
