Moesia Superior
Moesia Superior was an ancient Roman province located in the northern part of the Balkan Peninsula, primarily in what is now Serbia and parts of Romania. Established in the 1st century AD, it was bordered by the Danube River to the north and was known for its strategic importance in controlling trade routes and military movements.
The province was home to various cultures, including the Thracians and Dacians, before Roman conquest. Moesia Superior played a significant role in the Roman Empire's defense against invasions from tribes such as the Goths and Huns, contributing to the region's historical significance in ancient military history.
