Modern Turkic Languages
Modern Turkic languages are a group of closely related languages spoken primarily across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and Siberia. They belong to the larger Turkic language family, which includes languages like Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Kazakh. These languages share common linguistic features, such as vowel harmony and agglutination, which means they often form words by adding various suffixes to a root.
There are over thirty modern Turkic languages, each with its own dialects and variations. Some of the most widely spoken include Uighur, Tatar, and Uzbek. Despite their differences, these languages often have mutual intelligibility, allowing speakers of different Turkic languages to understand each other to some extent.
