Modeling Language
Modeling language refers to a specialized form of communication used to create representations of systems, processes, or concepts. It often employs diagrams, symbols, and structured text to convey complex ideas in a simplified manner. Commonly used in fields like software engineering and systems design, modeling languages help stakeholders understand and analyze the components and relationships within a system.
One popular example of a modeling language is Unified Modeling Language (UML), which provides a standardized way to visualize the design of a system. Other modeling languages include Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) for database design and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) for business processes. These tools facilitate clearer communication among team members and improve project outcomes.
