The Mobile BayBears were a minor league baseball team based in Mobile, Alabama. They were established in 1997 and played in the Southern League, which is part of the Double-A level of professional baseball. The team was affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks and later the San Diego Padres. In 2017, the BayBears relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, and the franchise was rebranded as the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The team's home games were held at Mobile's Hank Aaron Stadium, named after the legendary baseball player Hank Aaron.
