Missouri government
The Missouri government operates under a framework established by the Missouri Constitution. It consists of three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch is led by the Governor, who is elected for a four-year term. The legislative branch is bicameral, comprising the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate, responsible for creating state laws.
The judicial branch interprets laws and includes various levels of courts, with the Missouri Supreme Court being the highest. Local governments, such as counties and cities, also play a significant role in governance, managing local affairs and services for residents.
