Minting Process
The minting process refers to the creation of new digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies or non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This process involves validating transactions and adding them to a blockchain, which is a decentralized digital ledger. When a new asset is minted, it is generated and assigned a unique identifier, ensuring its authenticity and ownership.
In the case of cryptocurrencies, minting often occurs through a method called proof of work or proof of stake. These methods require participants, known as miners or validators, to solve complex mathematical problems or hold a certain amount of the currency to create new coins or tokens.
