Minthe
Minthe is a figure from Greek mythology, often depicted as a nymph associated with the underworld. She is known for her connection to the plant mint, which is named after her. According to legend, Minthe was transformed into the mint plant by Persephone, the queen of the underworld, out of jealousy.
In some versions of the myth, Minthe was in love with Hades, the god of the underworld. When Persephone discovered this, she turned Minthe into a plant, allowing her to live on in a different form. This transformation symbolizes the themes of love, jealousy, and the cycle of life and death in mythology.
