Minnesota Court of Appeals
The Minnesota Court of Appeals is the intermediate appellate court in the state of Minnesota. It reviews decisions made by lower courts, including district courts and certain administrative agencies. Established in 1983, the court aims to ensure that legal errors are corrected and that the law is applied consistently across the state.
The court consists of 19 judges who are appointed by the governor and serve six-year terms. Cases are typically heard by panels of three judges, and their decisions can be appealed to the Minnesota Supreme Court in certain circumstances.
