Min Dialects
Min Dialects are a group of Chinese dialects primarily spoken in the Fujian province and surrounding areas. They are part of the larger Sinitic language family and are known for their significant internal diversity. The most prominent Min dialects include Hokkien, Teochew, and Fuzhou, each with distinct phonetic and lexical features.
These dialects are characterized by their unique tones and vocabulary, which can vary greatly even between neighboring regions. Min Dialects are also spoken by overseas Chinese communities, particularly in Southeast Asia, where they have influenced local languages and cultures.
