Mimir is a figure from Norse mythology known for his wisdom and knowledge. He is often associated with a well, called MĂmisbrunnr, which is located beneath one of the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil. This well is said to contain water that grants immense wisdom to those who drink from it.
In the myths, Odin, the chief of the gods, sought Mimir's wisdom to gain insight into the future. To access this knowledge, Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to drink from the well, highlighting the lengths to which he would go for understanding and foresight.
