Milton S. Hershey
Milton S. Hershey was an American chocolatier and businessman, best known for founding the Hershey Chocolate Company. Born on September 13, 1857, in Derry Township, Pennsylvania, he started his career in the candy business before discovering the potential of milk chocolate. In 1900, he established his factory in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which became a major producer of chocolate products.
Hershey was also a philanthropist, known for his contributions to education and community development. He founded the Milton Hershey School in 1909, providing education and care for underprivileged children. His legacy continues through the company and the community he built.
