The Millau Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge located in the Millau region of southern France. Completed in 2004, it spans the Tarn River valley and connects the A75 motorway. The bridge is notable for its impressive height, making it one of the tallest bridges in the world, with its highest point reaching 343 meters (1,125 feet) above the valley floor.
Designed by the architect Norman Foster and engineer Michel Virlogeux, the Millau Viaduct features a total length of 2,460 meters (8,070 feet) and consists of seven elegant concrete pillars. The bridge significantly reduces travel time between Paris and Barcelona, enhancing transportation in the region.
