Miklos Rozsa
Miklós Rózsa was a Hungarian-born composer, best known for his work in film music. Born on April 18, 1907, in Budapest, he moved to the United States in the 1930s, where he became a prominent figure in Hollywood. Rózsa composed scores for many classic films, including Ben-Hur, Spellbound, and The Lost Weekend, earning three Academy Awards for his contributions.
In addition to his film work, Rózsa was a skilled concert composer and wrote symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. His unique style blended classical traditions with cinematic elements, making him a significant figure in both the classical and film music worlds. Rózsa passed away on July 27, 1995.
