Mikhail Naimy
Mikhail Naimy was a Lebanese-American writer, poet, and philosopher, born on October 17, 1889, in Bsharri, Lebanon. He is best known for his literary contributions in both Arabic and English, particularly his novel "The Book of Mirdad," which explores themes of spirituality and self-discovery. Naimy was a prominent figure in the Mahjar literary movement, which involved writers of the Arab diaspora.
In addition to his writing, Naimy was a close associate of the famous poet Khalil Gibran and played a significant role in the New York literary scene during the early 20th century.
