Mikawa province
Mikawa province was a historical region located in what is now Aichi Prefecture in Japan. It was known for its rich agricultural land and strategic position along the Ise Bay. The province played a significant role during the Edo period, contributing to the economy and culture of the area.
The province was divided into several districts, including Okazaki and Toyohashi. Mikawa is also famous for being the birthplace of the renowned samurai Tokugawa Ieyasu, who later became the first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate.
