Miharu Takizakura
Miharu Takizakura is a famous cherry blossom tree located in Miharu, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. This tree is estimated to be over 1,000 years old and is classified as a Somei Yoshino variety. It stands about 13.5 meters tall and has a trunk circumference of approximately 9.5 meters, making it one of the largest and oldest cherry trees in the country.
The tree blooms in early April, attracting numerous visitors who come to admire its stunning pink flowers. Miharu Takizakura is designated as a national natural monument and is celebrated for its beauty and historical significance, symbolizing the cultural heritage of the region.
