Mien people
The Mien people are an ethnic group primarily found in southern China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. They are part of the larger Yao ethnic group and are known for their rich cultural traditions, including unique clothing, music, and festivals. The Mien language belongs to the Hmong-Mien language family, which is distinct from the languages spoken by neighboring ethnic groups.
Traditionally, the Mien people are agriculturalists, cultivating crops such as rice, corn, and vegetables. They also practice traditional medicine and have a strong belief system that includes ancestor worship and animism.
