Midgard
Midgard is a term from Norse mythology that refers to the world of humans. It is one of the nine realms and is situated between Asgard, the realm of the gods, and Hel, the realm of the dead. Midgard is often depicted as a flat, circular land surrounded by an ocean, with a great serpent, Jörmungandr, encircling it.
In Norse cosmology, Midgard is connected to Asgard by a bridge called Bifrost, which is often described as a rainbow. The inhabitants of Midgard are known as humans, and they are believed to be created from the first two humans, Ask and Embla, by the gods Odin, Vili, and Ve.
