Microchipping
Microchipping is a process where a small electronic chip, about the size of a grain of rice, is implanted under the skin of an animal, typically a pet like a dog or cat. This chip contains a unique identification number that can be scanned by a veterinarian or animal shelter, helping to reunite lost pets with their owners.
The microchip is a safe and effective way to ensure that pets can be identified if they become lost. Unlike collars or tags, which can fall off, a microchip is permanent and does not require batteries. It is a simple procedure that can be done during a routine veterinary visit.
