MicroSats
MicroSats are small satellites typically weighing between 10 to 100 kilograms. They are designed for various applications, including Earth observation, communication, and scientific research. Due to their compact size, MicroSats can be launched more affordably and in larger numbers, allowing for innovative missions and improved data collection.
These satellites often utilize commercial off-the-shelf components, making them cost-effective and easier to develop. MicroSats can operate in low Earth orbit (LEO) and are increasingly used in constellations, which are groups of satellites working together to provide enhanced coverage and capabilities, such as those seen with Starlink and OneWeb.
