Michigan Bears
Michigan is home to two species of bears: the American black bear and the grizzly bear. The American black bear is more common and can be found in forests and wooded areas throughout the state. They are typically smaller than grizzly bears and have a varied diet that includes fruits, nuts, and small animals.
Grizzly bears are less common in Michigan, primarily found in the northern regions. They are larger and more powerful than black bears, with a distinctive hump on their shoulders. Both species play important roles in the ecosystem, helping to maintain balance in their habitats.
