Michael Wittmann
Michael Wittmann was a German tank commander during World War II, known for his exceptional skills in armored warfare. He served in the Panzerwaffe, the tank forces of the German Army, and gained fame for his actions in the Battle of Kursk and other significant battles. Wittmann commanded a Tiger I tank, which became legendary for its firepower and armor.
Wittmann was born on April 22, 1914, in Vohenstrauß, Germany. He joined the military in 1934 and quickly rose through the ranks due to his bravery and tactical acumen. He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his achievements before being killed in action on August 8, 1944, during the Battle of Villers-Bocage.
