Michael Psellus
Michael Psellus was a Byzantine philosopher, historian, and politician who lived during the 11th century. Born around 1018 in Constantinople, he became a prominent figure in the Byzantine court and served as a teacher and advisor. Psellus is best known for his writings on philosophy, history, and the arts, which reflect the intellectual climate of his time.
He played a significant role in the revival of Greek philosophy and was instrumental in the transmission of ancient knowledge. His most notable work, the "Chronographia," is a historical account that provides insights into the political and cultural life of the Byzantine Empire during his lifetime.
