Michael Dukakis
Michael Dukakis is an American politician who served as the Governor of Massachusetts from 1975 to 1979 and again from 1983 to 1991. He is a member of the Democratic Party and was the party's nominee for President of the United States in the 1988 election. Dukakis is known for his focus on education and healthcare reform during his time in office.
Born on November 3, 1933, in Brookline, Massachusetts, Dukakis graduated from Harvard University and later earned a law degree from Boston University. His presidential campaign was notable for its use of technology and media, although he ultimately lost to George H.W. Bush.
