Michael Anthony
Michael Anthony is an American musician best known as the bassist for the rock band Van Halen. He was born on June 20, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois. Anthony joined Van Halen in 1974 and contributed to their signature sound with his harmonies and energetic performances. He played on several of the band's most successful albums, including 1984 and Van Halen II.
In addition to his work with Van Halen, Michael Anthony has collaborated with various artists and bands throughout his career. He was a member of the supergroup Chickenfoot, which included former Van Halen guitarist Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
