Metrolinx
Metrolinx is a regional transportation agency in Ontario, Canada, responsible for coordinating and delivering public transit services in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Established in 2006, it aims to improve transit options and reduce congestion by integrating various transit systems, including GO Transit, TTC, and York Region Transit.
The agency oversees the planning and development of transit projects, such as new train lines and bus routes, to enhance connectivity and accessibility. Metrolinx also manages the UP Express, a train service connecting downtown Toronto to Toronto Pearson International Airport, making travel more efficient for residents and visitors alike.
