MetOp
MetOp is a series of polar-orbiting satellites developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with EUMETSAT. These satellites are designed to monitor the Earth's atmosphere, providing crucial data for weather forecasting, climate research, and environmental monitoring.
The first satellite in the MetOp series was launched in 2006, and subsequent satellites have followed to ensure continuous data collection. Equipped with advanced instruments, MetOp satellites gather information on temperature, humidity, and atmospheric composition, helping scientists and meteorologists improve their understanding of weather patterns and climate change.
