Messier_Objects
Messier Objects are a set of astronomical objects cataloged by the French astronomer Charles Messier in the 18th century. This catalog includes nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, totaling 110 objects. Messier created this list to help astronomers distinguish between permanent celestial objects and transient ones, like comets.
Each Messier Object is designated with an "M" followed by a number, such as M31 for the Andromeda Galaxy. These objects are popular targets for amateur astronomers due to their brightness and accessibility, making them essential for studying the universe and understanding its structure.
