Messier_65
Messier 65 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Leo. It is part of the Leo Triplet, a group of three interacting galaxies, and is approximately 35 million light-years away from Earth. Messier 65 has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years and is notable for its bright core and well-defined spiral arms.
Discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780, Messier 65 was later included in the Messier Catalog by Charles Messier. The galaxy exhibits signs of interaction with its neighbors, which can affect its structure and star formation. Observations of Messier 65 contribute to our understanding of galaxy evolution and dynamics.
