Member of the European Parliament
A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is an elected representative who serves in the European Parliament, which is the legislative body of the European Union (EU). MEPs are responsible for debating and voting on EU laws, representing the interests of their constituents from their respective countries. Each member is elected for a term of five years.
MEPs work in various committees that focus on specific policy areas, such as environment, trade, and human rights. They also collaborate with other EU institutions, like the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, to shape legislation and ensure that the voices of EU citizens are heard.
