Megalodon
The Megalodon was a massive prehistoric shark that lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago. It is known for its enormous size, with estimates suggesting it could grow up to 60 feet long. This shark was a top predator in its marine environment, feeding on large fish and marine mammals.
Fossil evidence, including teeth and vertebrae, indicates that the Megalodon had a powerful bite, making it one of the largest and most formidable predators in history. Its extinction is believed to be linked to changes in ocean temperatures and the decline of its prey during the Miocene and Pliocene epochs.
