McGuire AFB
McGuire Air Force Base (AFB) is a military installation located in New Jersey, primarily serving the United States Air Force. It was established in 1941 and has played a significant role in various military operations over the decades. The base is named after Major Thomas McGuire, a World War II flying ace.
In 2009, McGuire AFB was merged with Fort Dix and Naval Air Station Lakehurst to form the joint base known as Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. This collaboration enhances operational efficiency and supports various military missions, including air mobility and logistics.
