McClellan Committee
The McClellan Committee was a U.S. Senate committee established in 1950 to investigate corruption and misconduct in the military procurement process during the Korean War. Officially known as the Senate Special Committee on the Investigation of the Military Procurement Program, it aimed to uncover waste, fraud, and abuse in defense contracts.
The committee, led by Senator John McClellan, conducted hearings that revealed significant issues in military spending and procurement practices. Its findings contributed to reforms in how the U.S. government managed defense contracts, ensuring greater accountability and efficiency in military expenditures.
