Maya Bay
Maya Bay is a stunning beach located on the island of Koh Phi Phi Leh in Thailand. It is famous for its crystal-clear waters, towering limestone cliffs, and vibrant marine life. The bay gained international recognition after being featured in the movie The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 2018, Maya Bay was closed to tourists to allow the ecosystem to recover from over-tourism. The closure aimed to protect the coral reefs and wildlife in the area. As of 2021, the bay has reopened with new regulations to ensure sustainable tourism practices.
