Maxwell Anderson
Maxwell Anderson was an American playwright and poet, born on December 15, 1888, in Atlantic, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his contributions to American theater during the early to mid-20th century, with notable works such as What Price Glory? and Winterset. Anderson's plays often explored themes of social justice and human emotion.
In addition to his work in theater, Anderson was also a prominent screenwriter and received an Academy Award nomination for his screenplay of The Bad Seed. Throughout his career, he won several prestigious awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1933. Anderson passed away on February 28, 1959.
