Max Brod
Max Brod was a Czech writer and musicologist, born on May 27, 1884, in Prague. He is best known for his close friendship with the famous author Franz Kafka. Brod played a significant role in promoting Kafka's work, especially after Kafka's death in 1924, when he ignored Kafka's wishes to have his manuscripts destroyed and instead published them.
In addition to his literary contributions, Brod was also a notable figure in the world of music. He wrote extensively about music and was involved in the cultural life of Prague. Brod's efforts helped shape the understanding of both Kafka's literature and the music scene in early 20th-century Europe. He passed away on December 20, 1968.
