Mauricio De Sousa
Mauricio De Sousa is a Brazilian cartoonist and writer, best known for creating the popular comic series Turma da Mônica, or Monica's Gang. Born on October 27, 1935, in São Paulo, he began his career in the 1950s and has since become one of Brazil's most beloved children's authors. His characters, including Monica, Cebolinha, and Cascão, have become cultural icons in Brazil.
