Maura Healey is an American attorney and politician serving as the Governor of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Democratic Party and was previously the Attorney General of Massachusetts from 2015 to 2023. Healey is known for her work on consumer protection, civil rights, and environmental issues. Born on February 8, 1971, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Healey graduated from Harvard College and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. She made history as the first openly gay woman elected governor in the United States when she took office in January 2023.
