Maulid
Maulid is the celebration of the birth of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Observed on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi' al-Awwal, it is a time for Muslims to reflect on the life and teachings of Muhammad. The event often includes prayers, recitations of poetry, and communal gatherings.
In many cultures, Maulid is marked by festive activities, such as feasting and giving to charity. While some Muslims celebrate it with great enthusiasm, others view it as an innovation not practiced by the early Muslim community. Regardless, it remains an important occasion for many around the world.
