Matryoshka dolls
Matryoshka dolls, also known as Russian nesting dolls, are a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other. They are typically painted in bright colors and feature traditional designs, often depicting folk art or cultural symbols of Russia. The outermost doll usually represents a woman, and as you open each doll, you find a smaller one inside, continuing the theme.
These dolls originated in Russia in the late 19th century and have since become a popular symbol of Russian culture. Matryoshka dolls are often handcrafted and can vary in size, design, and complexity, making them cherished collectibles and gifts.
