The island is divided into six regions, each representing a different element: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Stone, and Ice. The island is named after the great spirit Mata Nui, who is believed to watch over the inhabitants. The story revolves around the struggle between good and evil, with the heroic Toa warriors fighting to protect the Matoran from the dark forces of Makuta.
