Mary Wotton, Countess of Sussex
Mary Wotton, Countess of Sussex, was an English noblewoman born in 1560. She was the daughter of Sir Edward Wotton and Mary Throckmorton. In 1577, she married Henry Radcliffe, the 4th Earl of Sussex, which elevated her status in the English court.
As a countess, Mary was known for her involvement in the social and political life of her time. She had a notable connection to the Elizabethan court and was part of the intricate web of alliances among the English nobility. Mary Wotton passed away in 1632, leaving behind a legacy tied to her family's prominence.
