Mary Stewart
Mary Stewart was a Scottish queen born in 1542. She became queen when she was just six days old after her father, King James V of Scotland, died. Her reign was marked by political turmoil and conflict, particularly with Elizabeth I, the queen of England. Mary was known for her beauty and charm, but her life was filled with challenges, including her forced abdication in 1567.
After her abdication, Mary fled to England, seeking protection from Elizabeth I. However, she was imprisoned for 19 years due to fears that she would claim the English throne. Mary was eventually executed in 1587, becoming a tragic figure in history.
