Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck
Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck, was born on January 27, 1833, in Kensington Palace, London. She was the daughter of Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge and Princess Augusta of Hesse-Cassel. Mary Adelaide became the Duchess of Teck through her marriage to Francis, Duke of Teck in 1866, and they had three children together.
As a member of the British royal family, Mary Adelaide was known for her charitable work and support of various causes. She was the grandmother of Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, which connected her to the broader lineage of the British monarchy. Mary Adelaide passed away on October 24, 1897.
