Marshlight
Marshlight is a natural phenomenon that occurs in wetlands, often seen as glowing lights at night. These lights are typically caused by the combustion of gases released from decaying organic matter, such as plants and animals. The phenomenon is most commonly associated with areas like marshes and swamps, where conditions are ideal for the buildup of these gases.
The lights are sometimes referred to as will-o'-the-wisps or ignis fatuus, and they have been the subject of folklore and myths in various cultures. While they can create an enchanting atmosphere, marshlight can also mislead travelers, causing them to wander off paths in search of the mysterious glow.
