Marsh Tit
The Marsh Tit is a small bird belonging to the family Paridae, commonly found in woodlands and shrubby areas across Europe and parts of Asia. It has a distinctive appearance, featuring a black cap on its head, a white cheek patch, and a brownish body. The bird typically measures about 12-13 cm in length and weighs around 10-12 grams.
Marsh Tits are known for their acrobatic feeding habits, often seen hanging upside down while foraging for insects, seeds, and berries. They are social birds, frequently found in small flocks, especially outside the breeding season. Their song consists of a series of soft, melodious notes, which can be heard during the spring and summer months.
