Marree People
The Marree People is a large-scale earthwork located near the town of Marree in South Australia. It features a series of geoglyphs, including a giant figure of a man, a dog, and various other shapes. These artworks are created by removing the top layer of soil to reveal the lighter-colored earth beneath, making them visible from the air.
The site is believed to have been created in the late 20th century, with the first geoglyphs appearing around 1998. The Marree People has become a point of interest for tourists and researchers, highlighting the intersection of art, culture, and the natural landscape in Australia.
