Mark Messier
Mark Messier is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on January 18, 1961, in Edmonton, Alberta, he played for the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Rangers, among other teams. Messier is known for his leadership skills and was a key figure in the Oilers' dynasty during the 1980s.
Throughout his career, Messier won six Stanley Cups and was awarded the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player twice. He is also recognized for being the first player to captain two different teams to a championship. After retiring in 2004, Messier was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007.
