Marine Iguanas
Marine iguanas are unique reptiles found only in the Galápagos Islands. They are well-adapted to life in the ocean, with a diet primarily consisting of algae. These iguanas can dive up to 30 feet underwater to forage for food, using their strong limbs and flattened tails to swim efficiently.
Their distinctive appearance includes a long, slender body and a flattened head, which helps them navigate rocky shorelines. Marine iguanas are also known for their ability to regulate their body temperature, basking in the sun to warm up after swimming in cold waters.
